Prerequesite: Our Beginner Sewing or Stitch and Bitch University class or equivalent experience. You must own a sewing machine to complete this course.
In this 4 session class, you will sew a classic men’s trouser.
You will learn to how to sew:
- A waistband with belt loops,
- Fly front zipper,
- On seam pockets and welt pockets.
Garment industry techniques will be taught so you can achieve a professional look.
Pick up the pattern from our store so you can have it cut out in your fabric and be ready for the first class.

Learn how to copy and make a pattern from one of your favorite skirts or a simple pant without taking it apart. Use the techniques you learn in this class to copy any clothing item.
The garment you select should match your sewing experience. If you select a fly front pant, you should know how to sew a fly front zipper.

(Prerequisites: Beginner Sewing OR Stitch and Bitch University OR Advanced Sewing - Pants OR equivalent.)
The moulage is the foundation of the couture pattern drafting system taught by the Ecole Guerre-Lavigne in Paris. This is a system of measuring the figure, calculating, and drafting a pattern. Using this system of measuring, you will draft your own custom fit pant pattern.
In this class, you will learn:
- Some history of the development of pattern drafting systems
- The proper way to measure the figure, for this system
- Calculations of the measurements in both inches and metric
- How to draft the Moulage front and back pant pattern.
- How to make adjustments to the muslin pant pattern to ensure proper fit.
- Demoing how to add side front pockets, pleats, high faced waistband, fly front—details to enable them to actually make a trouser they want to wear

This series is for anyone who has completed a Beginner Sewing class or a Stitch and Bitch University Beginner Comprehensive class and wants to learn serger/overlock techniques. In this combo series you can register for all three serger classes for major savings.
Have that creative T-Shirt bug in you? Well get it on!
You will learn to:
- Use a overlock/serger machine,
- Sew a T-shirt using our S.F.S.E. patterns, and
- Set in sleeves and finish off necklines for knits.
You'll find out how easy it is to express yourself with your own T-shirts.
The Skinny Knit Pant
Using our exclusive skinny knit pant pattern, you will make this great fitting pant in just two sessions. You might even finish two! It's sew easy.
You will learn :
- How to sew on an over lock/serger machine,
- How to assemble knit pants,
- How to overlock in elastic with a professional garment industry finish.
The Knit Dress
Learn to sew up a knit dress on an overlock machine. See how easy it is to strut your stuff using our exclusive S.F.S.E pattern. You will learn:
- How to sew in sleeves, and
- Finish a neckline and hem.
